Privacy Policy
How the Happy Few app handles your information — the short version is that it barely touches it.
Happy Few is a party game for groups of friends, available on Android and iOS. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short, because the app does very little with it.
The short version
Happy Few has no accounts and never asks you to sign in. The player names you type in and the scores of the game are stored only on your own device. They are not sent to Studio Procrast or to anyone else, and we have no way of seeing them.
The app is free and is funded by advertising. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob, and Google's advertising software collects information about your device in order to serve them. That is the only information leaving your device, and it is described in full below.
We do not sell personal information.
Information you enter
When you set up a game you type in the players' names. Those names, and the scores as the game runs, are written to the app's private storage on your device.
- They are never transmitted anywhere.
- Nobody at Studio Procrast can access them.
- They are excluded from device backups — Google's automatic cloud backup and the phone-to-phone transfer that runs when you set up a new Android device, and iCloud backup on iOS. Your players and scores stay on the device you typed them into.
- Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also erase everything at any time from Settings → Reset all data inside the app.
Every question in the game was written by us and ships inside the app. There is no way for a player to add their own.
Because Happy Few has no accounts, there is no account to delete and no copy of your data held by us to request.
Advertising
Happy Few displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To select and measure those ads, Google's software collects information about your device. This typically includes:
- your device's advertising identifier — the Advertising ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS. Both are resettable identifiers provided by the operating system specifically for advertising;
- device and connection information, such as device model, operating system version, language, and an approximate location inferred from your IP address;
- interactions with the ads themselves — whether an ad was displayed, and whether it was tapped;
- basic diagnostic information about the advertising software itself — crash reports, performance measurements and similar technical data that Google uses to keep its SDK working.
Google uses this to choose which ads to show, to limit how often you see the same one, to measure whether ads worked, and to detect fraudulent clicks. It is handled by Google under Google's own privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. Google's description of how it uses data from apps that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Studio Procrast does not receive this information in any form that identifies you. We see aggregate figures in our AdMob dashboard — how many ads were shown, how many were tapped — and nothing about individual people.
Your choices about advertising
Everyone
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device's own settings — on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Happy Few keeps working either way; you will simply see less relevant ads.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
The first time you open Happy Few, a consent screen provided by Google's User Messaging Platform asks whether you agree to personalised advertising. You can change that answer whenever you like, from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options inside the app. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and the app continues to work — you will see non-personalised ads instead.
Where this applies, our legal basis for processing your data for personalised advertising is your consent. Our legal basis for showing non-personalised advertising is our legitimate interest in funding a free app.
On iOS
Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks separately for permission to use the IDFA. If you decline, the app does not use it and Google serves non-personalised ads.

Happy Few does not request and cannot access your location, contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone, files, messages, or the list of other apps installed on your device.
Children
Happy Few is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18. Its content is written for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us at the address below and we will look into it.
Security
The information you enter never leaves your device, so there is no transfer to protect and no copy on our servers to secure — we do not operate a server for this app at all. Information handled by Google for advertising is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is protected and retained under Google's own policies, linked above.
Data retention and deletion
Player names, scores, and anything else you enter are kept on your device for as long as you choose to keep them, and nowhere else. You can delete them at any time in one of two ways:
- Settings → Reset all data inside the app, which erases everything the app has stored immediately; or
- uninstalling the app, which removes all of it with the app.
We retain no user data ourselves, so there is nothing for us to delete on request and no retention period for us to declare. Advertising data held by Google is retained according to Google's own retention schedule, described in the Google privacy policy linked above.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, data protection law gives you the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in California, you have comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what is collected and the right to opt out of its sale — and, to be explicit, we do not sell personal information.
Because Studio Procrast holds no personal data about you, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device: the data is in your hands, and the reset option above deletes it. For anything concerning data held by Google as our advertising provider, Google's privacy policy explains how to exercise your rights with them. You are also welcome to write to us at the address below with any question or request, and you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Data safety section on Google Play and its Privacy Nutrition Label on the App Store.
